Residents, visitors, staff, and students face constant threats of kidnapping, robbery, rape, and murder. To address this crisis, relocating the office of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori temporarily to Abraka could provide a solution.
The governor’s presence in Abraka would likely increase security measures, deter criminal activities and provide a safer environment.
In Abraka, the governor should engage stakeholders directly to gain a deeper understanding of the security challenges and implementing effective solutions.
Meanwhile, the Governor should direct regular patrols by security personnel to help prevent crimes and maintain order in Abraka and environs.
Ultimately, relocating the governor’s office to Abraka could be a crucial step in addressing the Abraka’s insecurity. In the long term, the Delta State Government should formulate a comprehensive approach that involves multiple stakeholders and addresses the root causes of the security challenges.
